Flag Day 2008
June 7th
Parade began at 11 am at Salem Elementary School and proceeds to Six Mile road in the Hamlet.  The SAHS had a group in the parade and table on the Salem Twonship grounds.

Along with the SAHS marchers was Karl Geirman who drove a 1940's Ice Cream Truck.  Too bad there was no Ice Cream in it!

Salem Celebrates Flag Day

Every June Salem has a celebration for Flag Day.

Since 1980s, there has been a Parade and Fireworks.

The Parade is open to anyone who would like to be in it with the only requirement you must have some kind of flag decoration.

In the early years there would be more people in the parade than watching.
